Senator Natasha shares evidence of alleged sexual harassment by Senate president

The suspended senator Natasha Akpoti who is the senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district has in an interview with BBC shared her evidence of alleged sexual harassment by the Senate president Godswill Obot Akpabio.

She has stated that the Senate president has squeezed her hand in a suggestive way while they took a tour in his house at Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state during the birthday party of the Senate president that she attended in company of her husband.

Senator Natasha stated that the harassment had been episode upon episode as she also recounted the instance where the Senate president allegedly made a frivolous comment about whether her not putting on her wedding ring which she had forgotten to put on before appearing in the Senate was an invitation for a treat.

She ended by saying that her being suspended was a way of wanting to silence her.
